Ultra Electronics, ProLogic is currently seeking well qualified candidates for the position of System Security Engineer at our Manassas, VA location.

Develop, review and analyze DIACAP packages and other Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documents at a near expert level of knowledge.
Utilize experience with the Department of Defense scanning tools such as the DISA Gold Disks, Security Readiness Reviews (SRR) and DISA Checklist and STIGS.
Work with, interview, and obtain essential information from Program Managers, uniformed military personnel, developers, system administrators and others to support a C&A process from beginning through a systems life-cycle.
Provide guidance and support with detailed test plans, implementing industry best practices, vulnerabilities, malicious code and other threats to the clients networks.

The applicant must have at least an active DoD secret level security clearance and be able to maintain a DoD CAC.
Candidate must possess a minimum of a High School diploma
Candidate must also possess a CompTIA Security+ certification with the ability to obtain Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) within the first year of employment
3-5 years experience in information technology to include information assurance
Familiarity with security features found in operating systems, database management systems, and networking devices
3-5 years of working knowledge of the Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP), DoD 8500 series and NIST 800 series
3-5 years of demonstrated knowledge and experience of security testing and risk analysis using the DISA Gold Disk, Retina, SRR scripts, and manual test cases
Additional skills that will separate the successful candidate from other applicants will be with Joint Requirements, VMware, forensics and FISMA requirements.
