Job Description
Company: University Medical Center
Facility: UMC Health System at Lubbock
Department: IT Infrastructure
Responsibilities include maintaining the overall reliability of UMC Health System s information systems and computer operations. This includes support and installation of various operating systems, monitoring and reporting on computer system performance, planning for increased system capacity in a pro-active manner, providing support for Service Desk in a 24x7 environment, maintaining system documentation, and back-up and recovery procedures.

Windows Administration, Performance and Troubleshooting
AIX Administration, Performance and Troubleshooting
OpenVMS Administration, Performance and Troubleshooting
Microsoft System Center Administration
EMC SAN Storage Administration
EMC Enterprise Backup (Avamar, Networker, Data Domain) Administration
Good knowledge of networking concepts as it relates to system administration.
Knowledge of Cerner applications from the system administration perspective
A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a computer-related field from an accredited college or university is preferred. Technical certifications including Microsoft, VMWare and Citrix are a plus. Two to four years (or more) of progressively more responsible experience using computer hardware and software applications pertinent to UMC Health System is desirable. Full time Days
