Job Description

BR BR B Position Description: /B BR The Systems Administrator is responsible for prioritizing and ensuring prompt delivery of all needs and requests directed to the IT department. Regular activities include configuring new equipment, installing necessary updates and responding to end-user requests. The Systems Administrator is also responsible for the scheduling and implementation of routine maintenance and upgrades. Training employees on IT systems is also required. BR BR B Responsibilities: /B BR UL LI Provide primary end user support for desktop, laptop, phone system and applications. LI Install, configure and secure all Servers, workstations, printers, Routers, wireless access points and mobile devices. LI Perform network and server based troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common problems. LI Plan, coordinate, communicate and execute releases of application and system updates. LI Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshoot new systems and peripherals. LI Ensure system backups are run nightly and transferred to off-site storage. LI Maintain documentation on the network relating to all hardware and software configurations, network configurations and user systems. LI Conduct end-user training on new and upgraded systems. LI Assist in the recommendation, planning and implementation of new IT systems. LI Act as a liaison to external contractors hired to perform IT-related functions. LI Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the company. /LI /UL P B U Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience: /U /B /P UL LI 5-7 years of IT experience in positions of increasing responsibility. LI Experience across multiple technology domains including desktop, server, telephony, and network. LI Experience as primary support for small/medium business environment. LI Proficient with Windows 2003/2008 Server platforms, including Active Directory, TCP/IP, VPN, Routing, DNS, DHCP, Hyper-V, IIS, file and print services. LI Proficient with Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007/2010, POP3 services, and configuring Outlook 2003/2007/2010 and OWA. LI Experience managing networks, including Routers, Firewalls, IPS, and security. LI A Solid understanding of SAN and NAS environments. LI Experience in Systems Administration and networking support with hands-on experience servicing desktop systems, laptops, printers and other peripherals. LI Experience imaging, configuring, deploying and troubleshooting Windows XP, Windows 7, and Mac OSX clients. LI Experience in supporting desktop applications software, including the Microsoft Office suite. LI High level of comfort working with executive level management.
