span Systems Administrator, Syracuse, NY br   br Our client is looking to add a Systems Administrator to their team on a full time basis. br The Systems Administrator will ensure the stable and secure operation of technology infrastructure including data center servers, storage, desktops and help desk support operations. The Systems Administrator is a content expert on use and function of these systems and will provide training and guidance to end users in their use of these systems. br   br Scope: br You will be responsible for supporting internal  Information Technology resources including business applications; Data center operations; Backup and recovery devices; Client devices such as PCs, handheld scan devices, printers, MFP devices and external services such as Internet and email. br   br Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following: br   br • Configure, deploy and maintain systems within the context of the IT Infrastructure. This would include all VM environments and the SANs that support them. br • Deliver clear and concise written and oral communications, quality, service excellence and efficiency within areas of responsibility. br • Monitor and maintain systems performance at or above departmental Service Level Agreements. br • Develop and maintain installation, configuration, backup and recovery procedures for systems being administered. br • Must be an independent thinker with the ability to problem solve br • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently br • Microsoft Windows Active Directory configuration and maintenance. br • Establishes and maintains SANs, directories and server security. br • Continually evaluate internal business systems and processes and provide recommendations for improvement to meet business initiatives. br • Evaluate new software releases/version updates and determine need to update existing business systems. br • Responsible for deployment, training and support of hardware/platforms (PC’s, printers, hand held scanners). br • Work with end users to ensure key functionalities are understood. br • Provide outstanding customer satisfaction, technical expertise, accuracy, and timeliness. br • Foster a team-environment by sharing knowledge and information. br • Identify opportunities or risks and provide recommendations. br • Develops and maintains documentation for VM and SAN topology. br • Comply with company policies, procedures, and quality systems. br • Perform other related duties as requested. br   br Qualifications: br   br Education and/or Experience: br • A minimum of four years related experience or equivalent combination of education/training and experience. br   br Technical Skills: br • Experience in designing, implementing and deploying solutions in Microsoft environments. br • Ability to analyze or deploy new business solutions and integrate within the existing business systems. br • Applied knowledge in general infrastructure components and techniques including: br • VMWare (to version 6) br • Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2008R2, 2012 in Active Directory environment br • Microsoft SharePoint br • Microsoft Office365 br • SAN/storage solutions br   br To learn more about this exciting position, apply today or call 315-233-4067 for more information br   br /span
