* Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a System Configuration Analyst 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals\. This position will be located in Fairmont, WV\.The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's programs supporting DoD Biometrics\. Position works daily with various functional groups including Software Development, Verification and Engineering, IT, Documentation, Quality, Training, and Configuration Management \(CM\)\. Position will also work closely with customer representatives and management\. Position is located in Fairmont, WV but may require local travel to government sites\. No provisions have been allocated for relocation\. Any relocation would be at the expense of the candidate\.Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains software/hardware configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial\-off\-the\-shelf \(COTS\) software/hardware products\.- Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable\.- Designs, develops, automates, and maintains productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve CM baseline management and software development\.- Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support software product development and use\.- May develop software/hardware configuration standards for program\-wide use\.- May train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards\.- Executes the defined change management life cycle and controls processes to ensure baseline integrity- Establishes and executes configuration audits against established configuration items- Develops/coordinates CM procedures and leads implementation of the procedures- Builds and releases developed software into various environments and works with various databases- Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation in As\-Built Configuration List and Installation & Configuration Document- Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system- Controls configuration item data using CM repositories \(e\.g\. Subversion, Confluence, Altiris\) and maintains version baseline- Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data, change request status, delivery deadlines, and issues and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, developers, management and customer representatives

* Basic Qualifications:

* To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- Bachelor's Degree in the field of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems or a related field plus 5 years of experience in IT Software\-related fields \(4 years of experience may be substituted for degree\)- Detailed understanding of the software life cycle \(waterfall or agile\)- Knowledge and experience with Altiris Management Suites or similar system CM tool- Knowledge and experience with version control systems \(SVN, GIT, Bitbucket, etc...\)- Knowledge and experience with issue tracking system such as JIRA- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills\.- Must possess excellent organization skills and be process driven- Must be customer and detail oriented and possess good decision\-making abilities\.- This position requires candidates to be US Citizens who are eligible to obtain an Interim DoD Secret security clearance \(pass an extensive background investigation\) prior to being hired
