Provide support primarily to the Strategic Systems Programs Missile Branch in the area of systems engineering and program management. Additional support may extend to other areas of the Strategic Weapons System. Work location may be on-site at the Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC or at SPA HQ Alexandria, VA. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or other related technical degree is required. 4+ years of experience in phases of systems engineering are required. Previous experience in applying system engineering principles to support technical decision-making and sub-system integration is desired. Previous military / government civilian (Navy preferred) experience is desired. Ability to interpret customer generated design guidelines and apply them toward the process of system requirements generation and validation is desired. Model Based System Engineering knowledge and experience a plus. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Project, Power Point, Excel, Visio, and Word is required. Current security clearance is a plus. Responsibilities: Provide direct support to the Strategic Systems Program Missile Branch and other areas of the Strategic Weapons System program in the following areas: Systems Engineering and Program Management support. Provide expertise in support of periodic engineering program reviews. Participation in program technical activities and monitoring engineering efforts. Review multiple systems engineering documents, including Requirements. Documents, and Change Requests for compliance with governing safety, security, information assurance, and operational requirements. Provide support for adjudication of feedback and comments throughout the systems engineering design process, to include Systems Requirements Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, and Engineering Review Boards. Compile relevant data and developing reports and briefings to support the completion of the aforementioned responsibilities.
