JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Description
This individual contributor role manages activities related to system enhancements and test management within the GBS group.
Specifically, the role is responsible for:
Business process analysis in collaboration with functional resources and Business Support resources to understand opportunities for system enhancements
Lead the evaluation of identified enhancement opportunities
Documenting system enhancements from a functional and technical perspective
Liaising between the GBS departments and IT departments
Managing interactive testing of defined enhancements leveraging functional resources
Providing feedback on test results
Obtain sign-off from department leads before enhancements are promoted to live system
Interface with internal and external stakeholders
Providing guidance for problems and questions
Maintain the overall control and coordination of the definition and testing enhancement to systems used by the Exton GBS by:
Participating in the prioritization of processes which needs enhancing.
Participating in business process analysis in collaboration with functional resources to document potential enhancements.
Documenting system enhancements from both a functional and technical perspective.
Coordinating the build of supporting business cases in support of potential enhancements.
Participating in the prioritization of the potential enhancements by reviewing the business cases.
Liaising with technical resources on approved enhancements ensuring proper translation of functional requirements to technical language.
Managing iterative testing of technical solutions leveraging technical resources.
Summarizing test results and provide feedback to the technical team.
Obtaining sign-off from functional resources and the department lead before promoting enhancements to the live system.
Acting as subject matter expert for any issues relating to the definition and testing of enhancements.
Liaise with counterparts in other GBS centers to solve issues, to knowledge share and maintain consistency.
Review error logs with the team and ensure remediation.
Provide audit support relating to enabling technologies.
Provide support for new ERP implementations or upgrades of current ERP and related systems.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Accounting or Finance
- 8 years experience from roles managing a variety of enabling technologies
- Good knowledge of ERP systems (strong preference for SAP and JDE)
- Experience of working in a shared service or large multinational company environment
- Supervisory experience
- MBA with technology-related emphasis preferred
- Experience of SAP, JDE and Hyperion HFM
- Business degree in addition to computer science degree
- Experience from the pharmaceutical industry
