Job Description
The selected candidate will, as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, lead a team of engineers and technicians responsible for the design, development, and testing of hardware subsystems and components, typically for use in deployment and operation of DoD and Commerical subsea communications applications. The selected candidate will be responsible for the application of GDAIS engineering and customer processes and practices to lead an interdisciplinary engineering team in tasks and activities to meet program technical, budgetary and schedule objectives. Specific responsibilities include the following:
- Supports frequent communications with the customer and GDAIS management
- Direct and coordinate team techncial collaboration and mentoring among team members.
- Perform and coordinate team efforts toward meeting program cost/schedule and budget objectives without appreciable direction or oversight.
- Support the Systems Engineering Integration Team (SEIT) as a core member
- Interacts and coordinates IPt efforts with internal development and support organizations.
- Leads systems engineering trade studies and directs IPT design and development efforts.
- Coordinates and participates in design reviews, gives technical presentations, and writes technical reports to provide status, results, and solutions to customers.
- Oversees and coordinates the IPT design, development, build and test efforts including:
- Concept of Operations (CONOPS) analysis and refinement.
- System level requirements analysis and decomposition.
- Design documentation and requirements verification
- Development of test plans and procedures to qualify and show compliance to system requirements.
- Component specification, parts procurement and system hardware/software production
- Integration and installtion of hardware and/or control systems, software algorithms.
- Support of Cost Account Management (CAM) responsibilities, to include developing, maintaining and reporting status on schedules and budgets.
Preference will be given to candidates that have leadership experience in the design, build, test and deployment of complex marine and/or subsea mechanical and cable deployment systems.

The selected candidate will have excellent oral and written communications skills, and experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully team with multiple internal and external stakeholders and lead a technical team to meet program objectives. Candidate will have a proven track record managing teams that provide solutions to highly complex problems and that require significant ingenuity, innovation and creativity toward getting tasks completed.
Typically requires a bachelors degree in a specialized area or field or equivalent, and 8 - 10 years of related experience; or masters degree and 6 - 8 years of related experience. Related work experience includes: systems engineering of subsea mechanical or communications systems.
Due to the nature of work performed at our facilities, U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance is required.
