SYSTEMS SECURITY ENGINEER - SENIOR (PEOC3T-16-1398-F) Bowhead is looking for a Sr. System Security Engineer to join their growing team located in Aberdeen, MD. The Engineer will plan, coordinate, and implement the organization's computer information security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure. Review violations of computer security procedures to eliminate violations. May provide work leadership for lower level employees. - Knowledge and experience with C3T tactical systems (Mission Command, WIN-T, Tactical Radios) - Has knowledge of IT security architecture and design with security tools, firewalls, IDS, VPN, virus protection, access management, etc. - Develop security artifacts and oversee the security vulnerability monitoring of all PEO C3T systems and risk factors and update as needed. - Work with program managers to provide updates on open/closed vulnerabilities and support fixes where applicable. Other cyber security duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree and 3+ years experience with an IT or Cyber degree/certification Preferably CISSP Experience with risk management framework, risk assessments Has knowledge and experience with security and vulnerability assessments. Knowledge of mapping complex technical requirements, functions and capabilities to prescribed security controls, policies and practices. Experience with cyber security policies and implementation. Experience with Army C4ISR systems. Experience with WIN-T. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location. Physical Demands: Office Environment - - The environmental conditions consist of computer stations and desks with adequate and adjustable lighting. Chairs are designed to fit the various individuals and the tasks being performed. Ergonomic evaluations are completed as needed, to provide up to date modifications to all work stations.
