We invent, engineer and deliver technology solutions that drive business value, create social value and improve the lives of our customers.Conducts or participates in multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems software. Designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging of software/firmware programs. Develops software/firmware for business notebook computers. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design. Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems/projects of diverse complexity and scope. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision-making process. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues. Position Specific: - Work with Core BIOS/Firmware Development team to design, develop and debug feature and functionality. - Work with Software/Hardare architects to define innovations to differentiate HP products and 'Wow' our customers. - Work with customers escalation and sustaining team to ensure feature/functionality provide best possible user experience for the Core BIOS/Firwmare deliverables.Education and Experience Required: Typically a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 plus years related experience or Masters degree and a minimum of 4-6 years experience.
