The Systems Support Engineer is directly responsible for handling technical calls from various clients regarding hardware and software issues, and resolving yourself or escalating as needed. The role will be handling a wide range of issues from PC hardware repair, general PC issue troubleshooting to Microsoft Windows Server and IBM AS/400 work. Our workplace is very team oriented, helping others and asking for help as needed.

Job Responsibilities:
* Phone support of PC and software issues
* Occasional Travel to client locations
* PC Hardware repair (hard drive replacement, power supply replacement, )
* Thin Client Configuration
* PC Security Scans
* Windows Server Administration
* Special Consideration for AS/400 Server Administration
* Basic Network Troubleshooting
* Document technical troubleshooting steps and problem resolution
* Handle rotating on call duties approximately every 5 weeks
* Ability to escalate issues to appropriate personnel when needed
* Help other Help Desk personnel with problems/issues when needed
* Work assigned operator time slot

Desired Job Qualifications:
* PC Operating system installation and configuration
* Networking knowledge of switches and routers
* Windows Server 2008 and 2012 Administration
* Exchange Server Administration
* Windows Terminal Services Experience
* Able to relate to both technical and non-technical users
* Ability to deal directly with clients
* Ability to create/locate/modify knowledge base articles
* IBM AS/400 Administration Experience
* VPN Familiarity
