30% Sporadic Domestic A-T Solutions seeks to hire a full time System Engineer to perform test and verification of classified systems for a client at Ft. Meade, MD. The successful applicant will possess a combination of familiarity with Linux (preferably Fedora and/or Redhat) with programming skills (C, C++, Matlab) and basic troubleshooting. Basic lab skills desired include the ability to identify bad, missing or swapped cables and to isolate faulty subsystems using basic lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators and spectrum analyzers. Strong attention to detail is required. Knowledge of RF systems is desirable. Familiarity with aircraft terminology and systems (ground speed vs. air speed, etc.) is also desirable. The ability to effectively communicate, coordinate and provide status about the calibration and end-to-end testing effort is also required. While the position is primarily for work in Ft. Meade during first shift, some periods of travel are anticipated in support of onsite integration and testing. Specific duties include but are not limited to: - Conduct / participate in testing and verification of software-dependent RF systems.- Perform troubleshooting using basic laboratory equipment.- Develop code for new applications and support code modifications to legacy systems.- Perform unit testing and integration testing for new and legacy applications.- Develop supporting documentation, including requirements, design and technical manuals.- Support regular Customer interaction through memos, status meetings and technical exchanges.- Travel sporadically to perform onsite integration and testing. Qualifications- This position requires a current/active Top Secret clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.- Experience with software development on LINUX Operating systems (i.e. Fedora, Redhat).- Proficiency in C/C++.- Familiarity with Matlab.- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting. This position requires strong interpersonal skills in working with the customer, program manager and technical team in a 'self starter' role.
