Job Description
PRIMARY ROLE
The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for the overall Talent Acquisition (TA) strategy and execution for assigned functions/business groups within Shire. Shire is a dynamic business that employs complex roles in a unique and gratifying cultural setting. Therefore, we require this TA professional to provide an expert level of TA consultation throughout each phase of the requisition life-cycle and design and deliver TA solutions that attract the top performers in the biotechnology talent market.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Acumen:
Understand the overall business strategy and design talent acquisition strategy accordingly
Communicate with hiring managers and HR partners using the language of the business (technical references, products, channels, acronyms, etc)
Use data to understand the labor market and consult the business accordingly
Understand how all HR sub-functions integrate strategically and build strong partnerships with each HR stakeholder
Partner with HR and business leadership to maintain a front-end view of workforce planning in order to prioritize work and apprise TA leadership for resource planning
Influence Shire s talent decisions

Talent Attraction:
Talent attraction adviser for assigned functional areas of the business
Research, source, screen, and submit qualified candidates for exempt level roles
Map and build pipelines of qualified talent for assigned functions in accordance with workforce planning
Capable of crossing over to provide expert level TA support to unfamiliar functions
Conduct robust intake sessions with hiring managers during which:
A deep understanding of the specific roles is attained
A service level agreement is mutually agreed upon that includes deliverables from the hiring manager and the recruiter.
A strategy to fill the role is implemented (including resources required to deliver within the SLA)
Help hiring managers prioritize position requirements that align with the available labor market
Establish rapport with prospective candidates that evolves into a high level of familiarity. This means speaking with poise and confidence regarding Shire s EVP and the roles, and in a tone that resembles a conversation among colleagues than a sales pitch.
Influence the right candidates on a decision to work for Shire
Create urgency among hiring managers
Expert on existing and emerging recruiting technologies to include ATS, CRM platforms, search portals, and social media
Attain knowledge of functional professional organizations and incorporate into talent acquisition strategy
Cultivate business relationships with recruiting vendors
Understanding of alternative recruiting solutions including RPO, staff augmentation, retained/contingent search and which solutions fits the specific needs at the time
Expert knowledge of interview technique and best practices
Partner with staffing coordinator to seamlessly delegate defined administrative portions of the requisition life-cycle (job description edits, background check management, & other pre-hire onboarding items)
Consult hiring managers on the value of comprehensive pre-hire/post-hire onboarding
Lead business and HR partners through change

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum:
5+ years of experience managing full life-cycle recruitment
5+ years of experience leveraging social media to attract talent that fill roles that are critical to the success of a large and complex business
Experience building strong working partnerships with hiring managers up to VP level
Creative thinker whose talent attraction strategies transcend traditional methodology

Preferred:
7+ years of experience managing full life-cycle recruitment for exempt level roles
5+ years of experience recruiting exempt level Research & Development (R&D) roles
Experience recruiting within Biotech
Experience recruiting in an executive search agency setting
