Position Summary
The Center for Knowledge & Analytic (CKA) People Team provides services to our global CKA team to help them hire, retain and develop the best possible talent. The People Team designs and manages all important HR processes for our CKA and Practice Area staff, currently hosted in more than 50 offices around the globe. To fully leverage existing knowledge, the HR function liaises with Consulting and Business Services Team HR as appropriate. The CKA People Team works collaboratively with global, regional and local management teams.

The Talent Manager will be an advisor, thinker, advocate, program leader, and "roll up the sleeves" action taker in CKA with the mission to drive accretive change for talent development, career coaching, retention, and alumni relations. The Talent Manager will own the career coaching, learning & development 'concierge', and a scalable program for alumni relations in the Boston and Chicago hub offices. CKA hub leaders will be key stakeholders for this role, though the 'customers' for this role include all the CKA business leaders who require top-tier talent. Ability to own and drive initiatives is critical to success, as is the ability to team effectively in a fast-paced global business among a large stakeholder group. Because this is a new role within CKA and CKA is growing quickly, the individual in this role must be able to cope with ambiguity, operate in an evolving environment, and not just accept but be excited about shaping and expanding the role.

Job Responsibilities
Going-in objectives of the role will be the following; evolution is expected as one grows in the role:

* Local learning & development programs

* Including but not limited to working with CKA Learning & Development to build people management capabilities of local managers and bridge skill gaps of broader staff

* Career services and alumni relations

* Foster career growth and career mobility of existing staff

* Build relationships with former CKAers

* Office development

* Work with local office leaders to enhance engagement of office staff

* Help continually improve office culture and affiliation

* Contribute to achievement CKA Global People Team's overall objectives

* Including but not limited to actively participating in People Team projects and initiatives and possibly leading a project

Basic Job Requirements

* Bachelors degree or equivalent required; Masters degree in HR-related field or business preferred

* +10 years overall professional work experience; +5 years of experience working in a field related to talent management, organizational behavior, learning & development, or career services

* Previous experience as a direct manager of multiple people

* Fluent English; able to conduct business proficiently with verbally and in written communication
