* Essential Duties andResponsibilities
* \( _KeyActivities_ \) \-\[if \!supportLists\]\- \-\[endif\]\- Act as a principal leader in the design ofmajor corporate system s architecture including applications, data,infrastructure and capacity planning \-\[if \!supportLists\]\- \-\[endif\]\- Interact with other cross\-functional areasto ensure IHG standards and design patterns are adopted \-\[if \!supportLists\]\- \-\[endif\]\- Provide integrated system planning andrecommend new or different technologies which will enhance current systems andsupport overall corporate and business goals \-\[if \!supportLists\]\- \-\[endif\]\- Research and evaluate emerging, new and/oralternative solutions and technologies to enhance operational effectiveness andreduce costs \-\[if \!supportLists\]\- \-\[endif\]\- Champion design solutions and derivedvalue to senior management for adoption and to secure funding \-\[if \!supportLists\]\- \-\[endif\]\- Based on broad objectives from seniormanagement, provide design solutions to highly complex technical issues wherethe approach may not be well defined\. Identify, define and analyze complexproblems and provide solutions requiring a high level of ingenuity and innovativeness\. \-\[if \!supportLists\]\- \-\[endif\]\- Ensure areas of responsibility arerecoverable in the event of a disaster, emergency or testing sequence\. * Qualifications
* Education
* Mastersdegree in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education andexperience\.*
* Experience
* 10 year s progressive technical architecture and design experience in a multipleoperating system, hardware and application platform as well as 5 years ofresource allocations to projects on significant and highly complex projects\.*
* Technical Skills andKnowledge
