JOB DESCRIPTIONAdecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a Direct Hire Injection Molding Team Leader and Process Technician Job in Erie, PA for a busy Manufacturer. Due to upcoming growth, our client is adding to their workforce and this is an excellent chance to join an expanding company. The Team Leader and Process Technician will be the primary supervisor of the Injection Molding Division and will maintain all IM processes and support production scheduling, component changes, set ups and start ups. They will identify corrective action and reduce setup and cycle time through continuous improvement efforts, corrective action and Lean Manufacturing principles and be able to troubleshoot processing problems. This is a first shift position but the company operates three shifts. Our client offers a salary that is based on experience and a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities for the Injection Molding Team Leader and Process Technician Job in Erie, PA:
*Directing and monitoring the execution of the production schedule as well as performing mold and/or material changes as dictated by the schedule;
*Performing process troubleshooting, part inspections and various other functions to insure part conformity and quality;
*Verifying paperwork for jobs and completion of inspections at startup of jobs and in process inspections
*Monitoring and preparing support equipment i.e. circulators, grinders, etc. as needed in the production area; and assisting in break coverage as needed.
*Collaboratively participate in Manufacturing Departmental Key Performance Indicator (KPI) improvement
*Responsible for the following departmental performance including Safety, Quality, 5S/Organization/Housekeeping, On-time Delivery, Continuous improvement including cost reduction, Understanding of financials and departmental levers that drive them, Compliance with company work rules and policies, Accuracy of departmental reporting data, timely completion of departmental preventative maintenance under departmental control
*Five (5) or more years of Plastic Process Technician experience is required
*Experience leading a department
*Ability to read measuring devices, i.e. micrometer, vernier calipers, etc.
*Must have Forklift experience and have ability to operate overhead cranes
*Ability to read and interpret blue prints
*Mechanically inclined with math skills
*Ability to set up injection molding machines
*Ability to change over injection molding tools
*Ability to develop a stable process from the ground up
*Able Troubleshoot process problems and instabilities
