Responsibilities
As the Team Supervisor, you will follow established policies and procedures-6S, Kanban, TPS methodology-to guarantee that high quality standards are maintained and production and cost goals are met by Value streams and teams. You will hire, train, supervise and coach staff. You will be responsible for managing attendance and overtime, providing timely feedback, recognizing strong work performance, and preparing qualified candidates for succession. In this role, you will arrange work flow and the daily assignments of associates to achieve line balance and meet takt and cycle time. You will be responsible for keeping a safe, clean workspace through the use of the 6S program and OSHA. As a key member of the Manufacturing group, you will actively support NBEE/Lean techniques by implementing programs and projects and allowing associates to participate in problem solving processes. You will be required to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications

- High school diploma plus 3-5 years of related supervisory experience. A college degree is preferred.
- Experience in shoe-making processes or similar manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team structured workforce.
- Strong planning, prioritizing, and organizing skills necessary. Must be able to multitask and manage multiple projects at once.
- Desire to learn and practice TPS principles.
- Excellent communication skills required.
