This role resides in the Business Technology department, within the Factory Engineering team. The data analyst position frequently includes importing, cleaning, transforming, validating or modeling data with the purpose of understanding or making conclusions from the data for decision making purposes. What is important is not the specific tool like SAS or SPSS but the investigative mindset or techniques that can be used with any specific tool.

The Data Analyst position at IRI will work with new sources of data to:
- Interact with clients to understand new data content
- This includes the Concepts and their Applicability
- Load raw sample data to a relational database for assessment
- Build table structures
- Profile new sources of data including sizing and field population
- Use of Profiling Tools
- SQL queries for ({(} i.e., avg$/trans/store/day)
- Assess new data content to form recommendations for cleansing and integration business rules
- Load data into prototype data marts for client demonstrations

Qualification Requirements:
- Technology Background ({(} 1-3 years experience)
- Experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle SQL queries
- Demonstrated ability to Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Proven working experience as a data analyst
- Experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets ({(} Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyses, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
- BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
