TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST III
Under direction, the Technical Support Specialist III, plans, evaluates, interconnects and maintains office automation products including microcomputers, peripherals and software; provides support of the Local Area Network (LAN) that links all microcomputers and the company?s minicomputer system. Plans, implements and evaluates training support for system users. This position is responsible for all company-wide user training for personal computer and network based system tools and applications and for developing, maintaining, enforcing, monitoring and reporting the standards and procedures of the MIS systems development life cycle (SDLC), user support and MIS departmental documentation.
The Technical Support Specialist III is the advanced journey-level class in the MIS technical support services field. This class is distinguished from the class of the Technical Support Specialist II in that it acts in a lead capacity over lower level Technical Support Specialists. This position receives supervision from the Technical Support Manager.
