DALBAR Financial Intermediary Post-Sale Service Award 2007.ResponsibilitiesThis primary purpose for this role is to support the Managed File Transfer (MFT) and Interface Balancing Controls (IBC) processes at Ameriprise to enable the delivery of cost effective, high quality solutions to the enterprise:Responsibilities include:- Effectively monitor and nurture the assigned assets to ensure they are operating with optimal stability and performance;- Maintain detailed knowledge of the vendor-owned software capability and functionality;- Provide recommendations to improve or enhance capabilities based upon knowledge of the business, software capability, vendor products and the internal environment;- Provide effective leadership for aligning business function and system capability;- Support Director and Team Lead on strategic initiatives;- Effectively use defined change management and quality management processes;- Ensure compliance with technology and audit guidelines;- Accountable for documentation quality and currency for assigned assets (e.g. blueprints, technology placement diagrams);- Participate in the development of system requirements and development of technical estimates; and- Identify, research and drive resolution of issues or gaps that present risk to the current or future health of the MFT and IBC capabilities and assets.Required QualificationsQualified candidates will be highly motivated, self-driven and results-oriented technology professionals with:- 7+ years of technical asset support experience (e.g. understanding the full stack - operating system, web server, database, application, etc.); engineering experience - providing SME level expertise and asset support;- Ability to manage critical, highly visible issues in an urgent manner;- Demonstrated experience interfacing with business and technology leaders to develop and manage to strategic roadmaps;- Organized and efficient with a proven track record in managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining focus on customer satisfaction and quality;- Creative and analytical in applying new ideas and concepts in a dynamic environment;- Excellent problem solving, analysis and critical thinking skills;- Effective verbal and written communication skills with a successful track record of building and maintaining strong business relationships;- Experience and ability to partner and manage out-task vendors and teams.- Proven ability as a strong change agent who is very willing to roll up their sleeves and move things forward.- Proven ability as an innovator- Experience with Managed File Transfer, file transfer capabilities and understanding of appropriate controls and reconciliationPreferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field- Experience working with the IBM Sterling Gentran Integration Suite and the Infogix ACR product family.
