SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Technical Manager of Endpoint Imaging and Software Distribution you will be responsible for administering and managing operational support of the SCCM infrastructure and services. The right person for this role is motivated, takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions to a varying number of challenges, is detail-oriented, and takes pride in their work. You will establish and maintain engineering standards for endpoint images, software packaging and software distribution. This role will ensure that assigned operational tasks are being completed accurately, timely and within budget in order to provide exceptional service to Gilead employees, contractors, partners and stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB FUNCTIONS

Design, manage and maintain an environment using SCCM 2012
Manage a variety of devices with SCCM 2012

Perform software inventory, asset management, patch management and OSD via SCCM 2012

Perform software packaging and deployment

Must be able to follow, maintain and create accurate documentation

Willingness to work with technologies outside of core competencies

Manage, develop and maintain strong relationships with service providers.

Ensure compliance with established security, quality and compliance rules and policies.

Interact with various teams in projects, escalations and troubleshooting efforts.

Provide guidance, mentoring, assistance and development to a geographically dispersed team.

May be required to travel to other sites domestically and internationally.

Must be quality oriented and ensure all work streams are aligned with company and IT compliance standards.

Work cross-functionally as a key contributor to the overall success of a global IT initiatives.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Expert knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2012

Expert knowledge of software packaging tools and techniques

Advanced troubleshooting ability

Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation

Strong knowledge of Windows 7, 8, or 10

Deep understanding and knowledge of Windows Server 2008/R2, 2012/R2 or 2016.

Good working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, LDAP,
Kerberos, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, WMI, and SNMP.

Education & Experience:
Typical candidates will possess:
8+ years of relevant experience and BA/BS Degree or equivalent OR 6+ years of relevant experience, with an advanced degree or equivalent.
Previous experience working in a regulated environment with knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, and other regulatory requirements a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including writing of procedural documentation and technical specifications.
Must be able to communicate effectively across multiple business units, peers and IT Leadership.
