Tablet (TabletHotels.com) was founded in the year2000 by Laurent Vernhes and Michael Davis, a pair of new-media veterans in search of a cure for boring travel and an antidote to the internet's most common affliction: an overdose of options. Our users trust our taste -- we do the hard work of selecting only the most extraordinary hotels, and we make booking them as painless as it can be.

Sixteen years on, Tablet is still growing fast, and for that we credit three things: a mission with resonance, a lot of hard work, and -- perhaps most important -- an extremely talented team. Our New York office doubled in size in 2011, and we're not done expanding yet.

TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER:

Our technology team is growing in headcount, product is evolving, and projects are met with increased complexity. Reporting to the Head of Technology, our Project Manager will predict roadblocks, eliminate inefficiencies, and propel projects. Working across the technology (15+), product, design, and executive teams requires cultivating confidence, iterating on process, and building accountability. Your initial contributions will help us through a mission critical third party integration directly tied to our bottom line.

Our biggest pain points are improving predictability and speed to market as our headcount grows. The day-to-day of the role involves coordinating process, organizing standups, monitoring tickets, and facilitating technical discussions, work sessions, and retrospectives. Our teams are running at bandwidth and require coaching to become more self-reliant and predictable. This will be accomplished by creating and iterating on tailored processes which allow you to become more hands-off.

An understanding of Tablet's product components and technical knowledge (what an API is and how it works) is essential in being able to get ahead of conflicts, prioritize tickets, and influence accordingly.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

5+ years technical project management experience

Strong technical acumen or an engineering background
