Job Description
Skill set: o Candidate must have 2+ years experience supporting Data Backup & Recovery Platforms and Applications in an enterprise environment (such as CommVault Simpana, Symantec/Veritas Netbackup, EMC, Arcserve, Legato). o Ability to analyze technical and systems operations problems related to Data Backup & Recovery. o Proven strong experience providing 2nd/3rd tier support. o Strong problem solving and analytical skills o In-depth technical knowledge of Storage systems hardware and software, including SAN. o Knowledge of Active Directory Groups and OUs. o Some experience with DB applications, SQL, (related to CommVault database). o Proven experience and familiarity with Microsoft Windows OS, TCP/IP networking, and network services including DNS, WINS, and DHCP. o Experience with Enterprise Desktop Backup solution in the following areas, preferably with CommVault solution: ? Setup & configuration of Server components ? Setup and deployment of Client components ? Setup and configuration of the Tape components ? Configuration & setup of security settings ? Configuration & setup of shared folders ? Development of backup policies based on corporate privacy policy and standards ? Development of backup scheduling based on corporate privacy policy and standards ? Understanding of best practices for Workstation Backup Responsibilities: o Technical Support to customers throughout the FannieMae enterprise. o Partnering with 1st tier support on escalated tickets. o
