The Technical Support Specialist will work on the virtual training program supported by the US Department of Defense located at the National Center for Child Traumatic Stress (NCCTS) and will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of the Microsoft Sharepoint intranet, online reporting systems ( and Qualtrix), data management procedures, and our distance-learning platform (Blackboard, Mediasite). He/She will work with internal and external stakeholders to support a creative, effective, and responsive technical platform in concert with the Project mission and strategic priorities. He/She will report directly to the Program Manager and IT Manager with general oversight by the Co-Director in the NCCTS. Specifically the incumbent will assist IT Programmer in coordinating meetings, deadlines, and IT processes; assist in customization of and updates to Sharepoint sites,, Blackboard, Mediasite, Moodle and other technology platforms; develop data management procedures related to report writing for program evaluation purposes; provide staff and user technical assistance and instruction related to conference calls, web conferencing, mediasite presentations, social media and other technology platforms; develop user protocols and instructional documentation related to technology platforms; respond to end-user desktop support tickets; assist in monitoring system status and security protocols; develop and maintain listserv programs for project and attend and participate in various NCCTS team meetings.


Bachelor's degree in computer science or library science highly preferred. Minimum of 1-4 years of experience in related field required. Understanding of and experience with Microsoft Sharepoint and Skill in working with online applications. Practice excellent customer service skills (patient, polite, responsive). General understanding of database architecture. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to effectively communicate with different constituencies inside and outside the university. Ability to work collaboratively in team settings. Ability to work well under tight and frequent deadlines
