Technical Team Manager

General Description:
The Technical Manager will be responsible for the successful implementation of the technical components of the solution for the client. This will require the coordination of activities across multiple technical teams as they implement components for Service Oriented Architecture, Business Process Management, Master Data Management, Enterprise Content Management, and Enterprise Data Warehouses and Data Marts. The successful candidate will possess deep technical expertise along with solid leadership and management skills.

Project Responsibilities:
The Technical Manager will be responsible for:
-Monitor and maintain the project schedules related to the technical project tasks
-Provide regular status and reporting of issues and risks to the project management team
-Work with the Chief Technical Architect to monitor that the solution developed is aligned with the solution that was proposed
-Provide guidance to the technical architects when issues or problems are encountered
-Monitor design and development activities to confirm that scope isnt being added
-Ensure that application development teams are provided the support and guidance needed to develop within the technical architecture

Essential Skills:
-At least 7 years experience within the last 10 years in a role directly responsible for the execution of technical management activities including architecture, requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, integration, and implementation
-Must have managed a project that:
oImplemented an integrated solution that required interfaces to legacy systems
oImplemented Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
-Experience leading large Technical teams (30+ people)

Non-Essential Skills:
-Experience implementing Business Process Management (BPM) and Master Data Management (MDM) solutions
-Experience developing processes and frameworks to support application development teams
-Experience leading teams that manage infrastructure components; such as Windows Servers, AIX Servers, and Network administration
