SUMMARY

The men and women of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of CLIENT's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response. The EDO Process Excellence team provides insights, advice and counsel to all levels of Distribution Operations leadership in regards to operational performance and business issues, trends and opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* The Electric Technical Writer develops and maintains manuals, standards, procedures, and bulletins that enable CLIENT to maintain compliance with all external and internalrequirements, and ensure public and employee safety.
* The incumbents ensure work products are clear, easily understood and in alignment with the company's Guidance Document Management practices.
* The documents provide the foundation for employee training and support, and guide work practices on a daily basis.
* Incumbents adhere to all company and regulatory safety requirements and practices, incorporating into the work product and daily activities.
* The current project we are recruiting for is an Emergency Order Close Manual development.
* Experience is preferred with onboarding and training manuals.
* Leadership, Project Management, or equivalent work experience
* Minimum Five years of related work experience
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Take complex technical information and make it clear and easy-to-understand for a non-technical audience.
* Produces Manuals and Guides, including Standards, Guidelines, Procedure, Process Maps
* MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience
* Flowcharts and organization charts development (iGrafx Preferred, Visio is acceptable) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Desired
* High standards for writing, detail, editing, and information design that lead to accurate, concise, usable, highly-polished content
* User-focused approach to documentation planning, design, and content strategy
* Familiar with CLIENT policies and procedures with regard to information technology, and Company Guidance Document Management (GDM) standards
* Fully competent in Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint
* Proficient in documentation technologies and processes
* Good verbal communication skills to collaborate with peers, content owners and collect necessary information for documents
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good multi-tasking, adaptability and organizational skills
* Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
* Provides excellent customer management and service expertise to projects
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritize work from multiple clients
