Seeking an experienced TECHNICAL WRITER / LEGAL RESEARCH professional to support our client in WEST DES MOINES, IA. This position is a FULL TIME opportunity, with great benefits. If you're interested in discussing further, please email your updated resume for review.

The individual contributor will develop and create policy and procedure documentation, as well as various types of user documentation, by interviewing subject matter experts and reading and analyzing state and federal regulations, agency guidelines, business requirement documents, and training documents. The individual must be able to follow documented formats and standards consistency guides; be able to manage multiple and competing priorities of varying complexity including small to very-large projects; and must be able to meet demanding deadlines.



Consult with business and technology subject matter experts to develop clear and concise policy & procedural documentation using sound business writing skills. Research and write new procedures using required templates and formatting obligations. Provide ideas and recommendations regarding the evolution of the current procedures.

Follow Company's standardized technical model for the creation, maintenance and publishing of the policies & procedures manuals.

Proofread, edit, and format policies graduate degree preferred.

0-3 years of mortgage lending experience, or comparable legal research and writing experience.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Proven proficiency in using modern tool set for generating documentation. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word/Word Templates, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Ability to observe/document/describe complex processes using clearly written steps - especially when used for training.

Ability to change priorities daily to take on urgent tasks, while still completing assigned projects.

Ability to convey complex information in an appreciate fashion to audiences with different levels of technical knowledge

Ability to work under tight deadlines and respond to changing business and technical conditions

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and volume.
