JOB DESCRIPTION

This Design Support Organization currently maintains over 700 process documents, including, but not limited to, Design Support Updates, Design Support Notes, newsletters, forms, job aids, training guides, reference materials and worksheets. These documents are constantly being updated, revised, and corrected to support the ever-changing needs of the Design Organization as it relates to system changes, process and tariff changes. In addition to maintaining the existing documents, new process documents and job aids are constantly being added to support the role out of new systems, processes, tariff implementations and compliance requirements. All these documents need to be researched, drafted, and verified for accuracy, proper grammar, style, content and format. The new technical writer will help support TPO?s efforts in creating, updating and maintaining these documents. They will assist our project management team to research, write and develop effective process documents for the Design Support Organization and be our sole source of truth for accuracy and consistency with our documents. They will effectively help bridge the gap between technical/process knowledge and tariff/compliance requirements and day-to-day work instruction. The position will add the communication skills and knowledge transfer needed by the design organization. It will free up the current staff of MPP1's to focus on the continued project management and emergent work that is assigned to them. The upcoming DM refresh will require a review and re-write of the majority of our documents that draw on DM as a detail or resource reference point. Failure to staff for this position will adversely impact the ability of the team to support emergent work. It will also delay the need for real time information updates which add to the potential for lowered performance and errors within the DBL design teams.
