Technician, Installation and Service

Installs, services, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains electronic article surveillance and CCTV equipment in retail stores. No residential or burglar alarm work required. Closes service calls via laptop computer after ensuring customer satisfaction. Trains customers in the proper use of equipment installed and/or serviced. Keeps manager informed of pertinent account information or customer-related problem resolution. Maintains parts inventory, company van, tools, and laptop computer. Other administrative duties required.
High school diploma or equivalent. Must have two (2) years of technical school training or military training equivalent. Two (2) to four (4) years of experience with demonstrated electrical/mechanical aptitude preferred. Must be familiar with an oscilloscope. Experience with computer software, hardware, and networking a plus. Ability to read blue prints and schematic drawings. Ability to operate hand and power tools. Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner at all times. Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service. Must be proficient with computer applications. Ability to stand, squat, kneel, bend, crawl, climb and sit. Ability to climb a ladder. Ability to work at heights up to 24 feet. Ability to lift 30 50 lbs (occasionally overhead). Must have valid drivers license. Must satisfactorily complete a background investigation, which includes, but is not limited to, references, representations (written and oral), drug screen, and proof of identity and legal ability to work in the United States.
