Responsibilities:
Job Summary Systems Engineer position is responsible for implementing enhancements to the enterprise compute environment involving programming, installation and solutions engineering. Responsibilities include utilizing technical knowledge to plan, design, and implement infrastructure enhancements and problem resolution for department and customers. May provide work direction and assignment as well as training to more junior employees. Incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day operations support of the enterprise's compute environment. The level of work required is considered intermediate and employee must be able to work under general supervision. This job does not have any direct reports. Principal Duties and Responsibilities ? Support day-to-day operations and engineering activities including, but not limited to datacenter, print, middleware and infrastructure services. ? Responsible for the reliability, performance, recoverability, and security of middleware and various enterprise software products running on Linux, Apple Mac, and Windows servers ? Research, design, evaluate, and recommend hardware and software enhancements for the server and middleware environment to management ? Install, configure, administer, and maintain hardware and software enhancements for the server and middleware environment ? Implement and maintain system standards, processes and security specifications ? Participate on and lead bank projects and assignments under general supervision ? Automate server and middleware environment administrative tasks ? Implements, operates, and maintains software distribution and end-point client administration tools; JAMF Casper, VMware vCenter ? Monitor and test middleware performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes ? Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks ? Participates in team on-call rotation ? Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
? Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent work experience ? 3 to 5 plus years of direct work related experience ? Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills ? Demonstrate critical thinking abilities ? Possess and applies both specific and broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures or the field of specialization to the completion of assignments ? Working knowledge of one or more of the following: Linux, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X server ? Knowledge of any of the following: LDAP, Tomcat, Apache, and IBM WebSphere, Microsoft SharePoint, Active Directory, Splunk Enterprise, Microsoft IIS, VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) ? Basic knowledge and experience in scripting, automation, and architecture of server and middleware environments ? Learns from business and technology changes ? Exhibits behaviors that contribute to collaboration and teamwork ? Demonstrates autonomy for execution of routine problems and issues ? Builds and maintains relationships that support the work of the bank
