Job Description

PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPOSIBILITIES:

- Use discretion and judgment to manage all forecasting activity for higher risk and more complex technologies to meet established inventory and service level targets.

- Evaluate all purchasing recommendations for higher risk and more complex technologies using discretion and judgment to determine which ones to support, modify or reject in order to meet established inventory and service level targets.

- When necessary use discretion and judgment to make decisions on forecast and purchasing transactions outside of assigned product code responsibility.

- Use discretion and judgment to evaluate requests for allocated product while working to meet established inventory, margin and service level targets.

- Manage the allocation process with our suppliers making decisions on mix of product in order to meet established inventory, margin and service level targets.

- Evaluate and implement supplier recommended stocking packages. Apply technology / supplier specific knowledge and influence for problem solving and issue resolution in support of the sales organization. Participate in process improvement task forces. Negotiate with sales and / or suppliers to facilitate the disposition of slow moving inventory including discretionary decision making on use of negative adders to reduce acquisition cost. Make recommendations on Manugisitcs parametric settings for assigned product codes that will reduce non value added transactions and better support meeting established inventory and service level targets.

General Education
College degree or equivalent technical training and experience.
