CytomX is unlocking the potential of antibody therapeutics in oncology by developing a novel therapeutic antibody class of highly targeted Probody therapeutics. The current opening offers an opportunity to lead the integration of pharmacokinetic analysis and bioanalytical strategy for Probody cancer immunotherapies and Probody drug conjugates toward clinical investigation in a fast-moving and dynamic R&D environment.

Job Description:

The Temporary Senior Lab Technician will provide both pharmacology and some R&D lab support as follows:

R&D lab support duties:
Prepare buffers following established protocols, and operate the dish washer and autoclave to ensure an adequate supply of reagents, clean glassware and sterile supplies for research use
Provide general oversight of the glass wash area, report any problems and interact with vendors to ensure the proper maintenance and servicing of equipment
Order supplies, manage a stockroom and communicate with R&D staff about any special needs.

Pharmacology duties:
Order and manage vivarium supplies
Ensure that animal husbandry and vivarium housekeeping activities are performed in accordance with CytomX SOPs and appropriately documented. These activities include, but are not limited to, cage assembly, cage changing, housing of incoming mice, monitoring and replenishment of food and water, cleaning of rooms and equipment, preparation of sanitizing solutions, and waste disposal
Perform daily health monitoring of animals including, on a rotating basis, weekend and holiday monitoring.
May assist with basic animal procedures (RFID/tumor implantation, dosing, blood collection etc). Additional duties may include mammalian cell culture.
