Business Unit Overview
Valves & Controls manufactures valves, actuators, and controls solutions for some of the most challenging applications throughout the oil and gas, power, mining, chemical and pharmaceutical, food and beverage and building and construction industries. We partner with customers to help keep their operations running safely, minimize downtime and improve business efficiency.
Contribute to the growth of Pentair Flow Control by playing an active and communicative role as a member of the Pentair Flow Control Team. Sales responsibilities will focus on the Power Industry, HVAC industry, and the Oil and Gas industry.
Job Requirements & Skills
*Work with Regional Product Managers, and factory personnel to provide valued flow control product solutions to assigned customers and assigned territory markets.
*Develop and maintain a detailed customer database that includes customer structure, contacts, competitors, product sales and opportunities, and pricing strategies.
*Assist Regional Product Managers to achieve sales volume and growth in line with their respective regional business objectives.
*Responsible for tracking projects and managing the project quoting process.
*Responsible for maintaining the customer relationship while also being the front line customer service contact.
*Responsible for assisting in collecting funds for delinquent accounts.
*Responsible for appropriate sales call reporting as deemed necessary.
*Expected to continually attend training for self improvement and growth.
*Report all business expenses in a timely manner.
*Some over night travel will be required depending on location of residency
*Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Engineering Technology preferred.
*5+ years in the flow control industry with the ability to understand valve and actuation applications or related level of understanding of fluid mechanics and electro-mechanical equipment.
*2+ years of outside sales experience.
*Experience with relief valves, control valves, butterfly/ball valves, and actuation, pressure, regulation, instrumentation, and valves within the process, oil/gas, and power industries.
*Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
