American Greetings has an exciting career opportunity for an experienced candidate with a background in sales or management; and/or recent college graduate with desire to jump into the rewarding and challenging business of the social expressions industry as a Territory Sales Manager!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage a territory comprised of approximately 200-300 retail stores. These include mass merchants, supermarkets, drug stores, and dollar stores.

Hire, train, and manage 50-70 part time merchandisers. Coach and develop team on merchandising execution.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with retail management

Plan and conduct account calls.

Implement sales programs and promotions.

Promote American Greetings products to generate revenue to achieve financial goals.

Work Environment

We are looking for experienced candidates who enjoy working in the exciting and dynamic retail environment! While performing normal duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a typical retail atmosphere. This includes standing or walking for extended periods of time, exposure to retail store backrooms, sales floor, and customer service areas. American Greetings Field Sales associates interact with consumers, sales associates, and store management on a regular basis. Office time is limited but when in the office; employees enjoy working from home using company issued laptops and cell phones.

Experience Required:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Skills & Accountability

Experience in retail management or in managing large numbers of part time staff is strongly preferred
Develop retailer relationships and build reputation as category expert
Excellent Retail Sales & Negotiation Skills, Retail Merchandising Skills a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and coach employees
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows programs
Valid Driver s License

Education Required:
Bachelor s Degree Required
