JOB TITLE: TEST ENGINEER

LOCATION: FOXBORO, MA



JOB DESCRIPTION:



Participates in the hardware and software design of automated and discrete test equipment for use in a manufacturing environment.

Works as a project team member in the selection, design, and test of products/processes with emphasis on meeting specifications and cost goals, while ensuring ease of manufacture and high reliability. Works on various phases of a project as determined by the lead engineer and/or Test Engineering Manager. Continually reports work milestones to the lead engineer/manager.

Designs from a functional specification, and develops test plans to ensure conformance to Corporate Product Specifications (CPS).

Requires working knowledge of C and/or Visual Basic.

Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Access.

Coordinates the implementation of In-Circuit Test capability through testability analysis and coordination of subcontract resources.

Analyzes customer returns to determine failure mode and implements test coverage enhancements as needed.

In partnership with the Test Engineering Manager, develops goals that support plant Manufacturing objectives.

Participates in the development of production-related plans, budgets, and procedures. Contribute to safety, ergonomics, and meeting regulatory compliance related to manufacturing testing.

Works across functional and organizational lines leveraging those relationships to support test development efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Software development experience: C , Vb.Net (pref), C#, Java or any Object Oriented language.

Test Hardware design and fabrication.

Production Test Support experience.

BSEE, BSEE

Dmm, Oscilioscopes , Function Generators , Automated Test Equipment.

Creating bench-type systems.

SQL Server, Access databases.

Experience developing desktop applications on Windows.

Manual or automated testing of electronics.

Able to produce good documentation.

Lab testing of circuits using electrical test equipment.

Experience with developing process documentation, test methods and test plans.

Experience with analysis and troubleshooting of lab equipment and hardware such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, function generators, network analyzers, and supporting test PCBs.

Experience with the following is a plus: Entity framework, linq, OO design patterns, WinForms, WPF, Arduino, Electronic Prototyping.
