span Modis is currently seeking a Tier II Desktop Support Engineer for a Direct Hire job opportunity with our large Financial Investment client in Downtown Chicago.   br   br This Direct Hire job opportunity will gain exposure to the newest technologies and be supporting a nationwide team!  Prior experience as a Level II Desktop Support technician with experience in LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Microsoft Office Suite and other desktop applications, and desktop security. br   br The Tier II Desktop Support Engineer Consultant will be responsible for: br • Supporting end users by providing desk side support or via phone br • Receive and resolve tickets from Level I Technicians br • Update Active Directory including group policies and setting up new users br • Support and resolve network issues br   br REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL SKILLS br   br • 5+ years’ experience supporting end users on desktop and Internet software on Microsoft Windows Platforms. br • Associate degree in Computer Science, Business or equivalent education and years of experience. br • Financial Services and trading environment experience preferred. br • Solid knowledge of networking (e.g., LAN/WAN, TCP/IP).
