Tool and Die Machinist $15-$25 Per Hour DOE Full Time Position Summary: Monitor and operate machinery to cut metal for the manufacturing industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Material if not pulled, pull material that is required on router Study blueprint, sketch, drawing, etc. for making tool and dies Compute and verify dimensions, sizes, shapes and tolerances of work pieces Set up machine as to what is required as per router instructions Install, align, secure and adjust cutting tools with material Monitor the feed and speed of machine File, grind and adjust parts so that they fit together properly Test completed tools or dies to ensure that they meet specifications Inspect for proper dimensions and defects Smooth and polish surfaces of tools and dies Communicate with management, supervisor, or quality control if machining or quality issue arises Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment Responsible to ensure that all safety guards and equipment are in place and in good working condition Requires regular predictable attendance Ability to perform assigned work in a timely manner and in accordance with specified levels of production Ability to recognize potentially hazardous or dangerous situations in the workplace; ability to perform all work in a safe manner. Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Stand or walk for long periods Use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects Lift and carry materials weighing up to 30 lbs.
