Job Description

'Committed to providing quality service and products to all members and clients.'

PURPOSE: To provide service to members in roadside assistance emergencies.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, & EXPECTATIONS:
* Operators must be proficient and able to perform the following duties in a safe manner:
* Wheel lifts and sling towing
* Use of dollies
* Winching operations
* Tire changes
* Fueling procedures
* Jump starting
* Lockouts
* Safety procedures
* Proper voice and digital communication procedures
* Customer/member relationship skills
* All paperwork involved in AAA emergency road service
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Additional duties as assigned, by supervisor and/or in charge person.
Knowledge, Skills, Specific Abilities:
* Excellent driving skills with clean driving record. (Must have no more than 4 points to be considered for this position).
* Able to withstand sitting in truck for extended periods
* Able to squat, bend, stretch, twist, turn and walk to perform duties required of the job.
* Able to repeatedly lift 100 lbs.
* Able to work at least 8-hour days and 40-hour weeks and occasionally overtime involving 12-16 hour days if weather & call volume dictate.
* Must be age 21 due to insurance purposes.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Able to work without constant supervision.
* Good attendance.
* If driving a tow truck over 10,000 lbs., must pass the Department of Transportation physical or obtain a waiver from PUCO.
* Employee must own and be able to use the following tools
Screwdriver (standard & phillips), Vise Grips, Pliers (standard & phillips), Tire gauge, Hammer, afety glasses, Tie Ropes for steering wheel, Pen/pencils, Flashlight, Crescent wrench
Complete lockout kit (Available for purchase at cost)

* 2nd shift

* Hourly pay range $11.64 - $12.00
