Has responsibility for driving the execution of the Segmented Selling Process in the PDSN. Acts as a change agent for the organization and the PDSN and will drive measurable improvement in sales performance through the PDSN.
Programs will require significant development and departures from existing practices. This person is considered a Sales Process subject matter expert in the organization.
LOCATION OF THIS POSITION WILL BE CANDIDATE DEPENDENT AND DETERMINED THROUGH THE INTERVIEW AND SELECTION PROCESSES.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Executes the selling process through the PDSN. This position is responsible for enhancing the sales process, managing critical sales programs, creating necessary process and training tools, sales performance metrics and championing the integrated systems needed to maximize results.
Will partner with the Sales Directors, Segment Business Managers, Subsidiary Sales Directors, PDSN Principals, General Managers, Sales Managers, and Sales Representatives to accelerate or change sales performance in a determined number of branches annually. This position also works closely with the Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing, IT and Training teams on projects and selling process improvements.
This position monitors assigned branches selling process metrics and partners with the branches and SBM's to improve the associated selling processes when needed
Works with the Sales Training Department to ensure proper sales training is occurring throughout the PDSN
Will partner with Sales Directors, Selling Process Managers and Segment Business to implement best in class segmented selling techniques across the PDSN.
Develops and implements the documents and tools needed for the selling process.
50% + travel should be expected.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A./B. S.) from four-year college or university; and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience selling in the Trade or Retail Replacement segment required.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Access and Power Point.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
