GENERAL SUMMARY
Performs general routine maintenance and servicing operations throughout the hospital complex and other areas as directed. Response to emergencies and routine calls in a timely manner. Works under the supervision of the Assistant Maintenance Manager. Employee must have basic knowledge in the use of hand and electrical tools. Employee must attend a credited trade school in order to advance to the position of maintenance mechanic or higher. Follows the Facilities Department and EHMC policies.
Communicates with administration, directors, staff, patients and visitors.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Facilities staff can be assigned to cover all shifts. Days, evenings, nights and weekends.

2. Performs routine task under the supervision of a Lead Mechanic.

3. Employee must turn in at the completion of their assigned shift all work orders and daily log sheets.

4. At the start and completion of the assigned shift all Facilities staff personnel will sign in and out of work. Be in the department uniform including name tag.

5. Must be familiar with hand and electrical tools.

6. Must wear protective hand and eye equipment. Also, employee must be aware of all safety issues.

7. Performs other duties as requested by the Assistant Maintenance Manager.

8. Maintains their tools and tool car Full-time variable High School Graduate or Equivalent
