Job Description

SUMMARY
Directs and coordinates Training & Development projects, working closely with operations support and multiple departments. Responsible for planning, testing and implementation of specific projects. Facilitates the completion, measurement and evaluation of project results against project objectives ensuring consistency with company strategy.



RESPONSIBILITIES

-Lead and manage planning and implementation of Training & Development department projects.
-Coordinate project calendar and field operations calendar to facilitate planning for field initiatives, assigned field alpha tests, beta tests, regional rollouts, and company-wide rollouts; create and revise execution guides.
-Plan and execute company and departmental meetings and conferences.
-Communicate regularly to the field from support departments and Regional Training Managers.
-Partner with project sponsor to define project scope, goals and deliverables.
-Clearly communicate project objectives and success criteria for alpha tests through rollout.
-Create project plans, including timelines, and track completion.
-Meet financial objectives or initiate solutions by forecasting requirements; tracking budget expenses; ensuring timely and accurate invoicing; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances.
-Manage involvement of the Training & Development department in cross-functional, multi-department projects that require field operations support, implementation and understanding.
-Partner with cross-functional project leads to coordinate Training & Development team support.
-Identify project tasks and resource requirements; identify the owner for each task.
-Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to operations for quality assurance.
-Implement innovative project changes to achieve project objective.
-Facilitate regular status meetings with project team, operations, sponsor and stakeholders.
-Monitor and report project progress, problems and solutions; convey information tactfully in written and verbal discussions. Resolve or escalate issues.
-Keep project team well informed of changes in the organization that may affect the project.
-Provide direction and support to project team.
-Partner with Regional Training Managers to execute effective field rollouts and training sessions; assist with meetings if appropriate.
-Evaluate and assess project results; make recommendations for improvement.
-Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for new projects.
-Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
-Develop good working relationships with operations team; identify needs and evaluate solutions; manage project expectations.

Experience

-3+ years of project management of training initiatives, preferably for restaurant concepts
-Project management certification or equivalent work experience
-Direct work experience in project management capacity
-Experience applying theoretical and practical project management aspects
-Demonstrated track record of fostering a culture of development and succession planning
-Knowledge of project management techniques, tools and software, including Excel, PPT, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and internet
-Proven experience managing people
-Prior application of change
