JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY VHB is seeking several temporary, part-time field crew team members for several projects that will occur during the fall in New Haven, Connecticut. This temporary work is on weekdays and includes full day (8 to 16 hour) shifts and shorter (3 hour) morning or afternoon/evening shifts (good for students). Staff will be paid $15 per hour. The responsibilities of the project is described below:
New Haven Connecticut Bus Surveys this work involves interviewing bus passengers about their travel at bus stops or onboard buses in New Haven, Connecticut. Passenger responses will be recorded on tablets. The survey will occur on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, you must be available for work for the entire day.
Successful candidates must be personable, reliable, and outgoing, with good oral communication skills. Candidates will need to provide their own transportation to project sites. Data will be collected using tablets, so familiarity working with a tablet is a plus, although not required as training will be provided. Candidates should be prepared to be on their feet for a 3 to 16 hour shift in a subway station, on a bus, or on the street outdoors. Periodic breaks will be provided. Successful candidates will also be considered for other field projects.
