VHB's growing Watertown office is looking for a mid-level Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Systems group. The selected candidate will work with a team of transportation planners and engineers on a variety of public, private and institutional projects within broad cross-section of markets, including municipal, state agencies, higher education, federal lands and aviation.
Responsibilities: Task manager of transportation engineering and planning projects Work with a team of professionals in a variety of transportation-related areas to develop mobility solutions which consider all users integrating Complete Street concepts within urban and suburban communities Conduct multi-modal transportation analyses Prepare traffic impact, corridor and intersection improvement studies Conduct research and preparation of reports, and presenting findings and results to clients
Skills and Abilities: Management of transportation engineering tasks Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Team oriented with strong capability to work independently Motivated to lead and mentor others Ability to think critically and strategically
Qualifications: BS in Civil Engineering 3+ years of civil/transportation engineering and planning experience Synchro and HCS experience required Experience with PTV Vissum a plus Experience with AutoCAD a plus Licensed Professional Engineer preferable
