VHB's growing Long Island team is looking for a Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation group in Hauppauge, New York.

Responsibilities: Work within a team of professionals in developing traffic and transportation planning and engineering solutions for a multitude of transportation projects Traffic impact studies Accident studies Transportation planning analyses Research and interpret transportation data, community statistics and demographics Prepare written planning documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reports Traffic data collection and tabulation Intersection and roadway level of service analyses Development, analysis and evaluation of traffic improvements Design of traffic control devices Roadway and intersection design
Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Self-motivated Attention to detail Ability to think critically Strong computer skills Excel in working in a team environment
Qualifications: 0-4 years of civil / transportation engineering / planning experience Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field Experience with AutoCAD a plus Experience with Synchro and HCS a plus
