Job Description

Company: Community Medical Center
Facility: Community Medical Center at Missoula
Department: Mail Transport

TEMPORARY POSITION: 90 DAYS
Provide support by transporting patients within the medical center. Also transport patient related equipment, Lab specimens and Lab products to and from Physician offices & clinics.
Minimum Required: High School diploma or equivalent. BLS is required at time of hire. Healthcare Provider BLS within 3 months of hire. Must have current valid drivers license, driving record must not include more than 3 moving violations in a year and no DUIs. Experience driving in all types of extreme weather. Must be able to drive during night and day hours. Must have the ability to push and pull patients on transport equipment. Basic Math and computer skills. Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred/Desired: Hospital experience or patient care such as CNA or patient transport experience. Training in patient transport and related equipment use. Hospital or nursing facility experience beneficial. Healthcare Provider BLS.
This position is M-F mainly 11:30 am-8:00 pm (Times may vary with surgery schedule), this temp position is to support the transport of patients and related equipment, lab work,and/or other items or duties necessary for patient care. Knowledge of transport equipment and use of stretchers and wheelchairs is preferred. The job consists of walking, pushing and pulling of transport equipment, patient transfers from transport equipment to bed or procedure table, use of stairs, good communication skills and great customer service skills. A positive attitude and ability to work as a team is a must.
Applicants without current CPR may apply and will tranport equipment, lab specimens. CPR will be required before transporting patients.

This position is subject to Drug and Alcohol Testing according to MT Law 39-2-205-39-2-211.
1.0 Full-time Evening Current/Valid Montana Drivers License
