Travel Consultant - Communication Center - ReqCode Comm Center

PURPOSE: To sell all travel related products and cross sell other lines of business such as
memberships, insurance and financial services via telephone and e-mail.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, & EXPECTATIONS:
1. To sell travel related products including air, car, hotel, tours, cruises, and travel insurance.

2. Cross sell / Up sell memberships, financial services and insurance.

3. To provide travel services to current members including mapping Trip Tiks, distributing maps and Tourbooks, as well as answering such questions as mileage and road condition reports.

4. To proactively prospect for new business utilizing Hot Deals and other vendor specials.

5. Follow-up on recently planned trips, quotes provided as well as reminders for upcoming payments due.

6. Participate in all available training such as FAM opportunities, vendor training, sales training and personal development opportunities (books, web articles, seminars).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, SPECIFIC ABILITIES:
1. Bachelors degree with major in marketing or business administration preferred.

2. Minimum of 2 years previous sales experience required, preferably in travel industry.

3. Outstanding computer skills a must including proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes and various Internet applications.

4. Ability to multi-task with exceptional organizational skills.

5. Ability to be flexible and adapt to change within a dynamic, fast paced sales environment.

6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

* Must be able to work at least one 11a-8p shift per week
* Must be able to work at least one Saturday 8a-5p and one Saturday for 4 to 5 hours per month

* Hourly pay range $10.58-$11.90
