Turning Operator

Description:
Position Summary:
Second Shift Position - Primary responsibility operates
turning equipment such as Acme screw machines, CNC bar
or chuckers, cold headers, saw or drill press on a
roving basis as assigned. Permanent assignment to any
given machine or group will not be made. May also be
assigned to material handling and be required to work in
other areas based on production needs.
Essential Functions:
* Removes shavings from tools and conducts general
housekeeping around machines.
* Reports daily production to supervisor and completes
parts identification tags and places in container of
parts.
* Reports all variations from normal with tooling,
machines, or parts.
* Responsible for visual and dimensional inspection
without the benefit of a follow-up check by the QC
department
* Responsible for quality of work produced.
* Required to maintain housekeeping of machines and
work area and to do other miscellaneous duties as
assigned by Supervisor, Cell Leader and Operations
Manager.
* Adhere to all Standard Work Instructions,
* Meet all production standards.
* Ability to get along with others.
