Job Description

Long term contract paying 75+ hour DOE

Publishing company is developing a dynamic internal web application for in house use. No design is required, the developers will be given a style guide and accompanying Illustrator and Photoshop files to work from. It's essential they have strong skills in jQuery, HTML(5), CSS(3) and AJAX. *The most important of which is JQuery and being able to create customized widgets and plugins from scratch or at least know how to do it if you've only edited in JQuery* Develop and maintain the UI portion of software product interface by working with Information architects, UI Designer, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Software Developers and Architects. Work closely with the UI Designer and other UI Developers to implement UI with a focus on user experience Work with development team using Agile development methodology Must work on site with UI design team Requirements: BS in computer science, advanced degree in human-computer interaction, human factors, or related field preferred. Expert-level knowledge of HTML5, DHTML, XML, CSS3, JQuery, AJAX, ExtJ, YUI, DOJO and other similar UI libraries. Expertise in cross browser/platform compatibility issues Proven in the implementation of user interface models for standalone applications and web applications Experience in mobile web UI design and rich internet applications (RIA) is desirable Ability to work independently as well as with various size teams. Previous experience in e-learning a plus!
