Department: Ultrasound

The Ultrasound Technologist performs all ultrasound exams/procedures as ordered by our referring staff. The Ultrasound Technologist is accountable for all peripheral activities associated with each test/procedure e.g. ID patient, educating patient and family members, validating order and ordering physician, completing all paper work, completing all meditech entries, transferring images to kinedx, assisting transcriptionists with dictation/technical errors, taking files back to file room, ensuring that ordering physicians receive final results.
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE: Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Must be a graduate of Ultrasound accredited program with ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) certification. One (1) year experience in general sonography preferred. CPR certification required. Must possess skills in ultrasound procedures; good communication; good patient care; team work; customer service; procedure flexibility and multitasking.
Temp Pool Evening Shift High school diploma or equivalent is required Certification Required Experience is required
