Strategic Intent It is the mission and intent of this position that the incumbent will take full responsibility for the tasks that are given on all aspects of the Laundry/Valet operation. Scope of Position The Uniform Attendant is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the Uniform/Laundry room, colleague's uniforms and guest laundry in a professional and efficient manner. Organizational Structure The Uniform Attendant will report directly to the Executive Housekeeper / Assistant Executive Housekeeper. Duties and Responsibilities Guest's Laundry: Check and follow up on all guest dry cleaning and laundry. Responsible for fulfilling all emergency guest laundry and pressing needs on all shifts. Ensure that all guest laundry and dry cleaning goes up to the guestrooms wrapped according to standard. Perform minor tailoring needs of guests i.e., repair a tear, hem or popped button. Colleague's Uniform: Maintain bar coding on all colleague's uniforms in an efficient manner. Scan all uniforms as they come into the department. Send out all scanned uniforms and print out daily uniform lists. Check daily on uniform discrepancies. Maintain cleanliness and order in the uniform room. Perform minor tailoring needs of uniformed employees i.e., repair a tear, hem or popped button. Liaise with uniform cleaning company to keep track of any employee complaints. Other Duties: Ensure correct usage of washer/dryer machine. Ensure correct usage of presser and ironing. Keep Executive Housekeeper informed of any laundry/uniform issues. Requirements Mandatory Possess good computer skills and have prior experience in a laundry/valet facility Possess a good written and verbal command of the English Language (ref. 48838)
